MPSA 2020-2021 Academic-Year Mentoring Program

The deadline for mentor and mentee applications for the 2020-2021 MPSA Academic-Year Mentoring Program as passed and MPSA staff are currently matching applicants.

If selected for the program, mentees will work remotely (phone calls or via Skype/Google Hangouts, etc.) with faculty in a structured format over the 2020-2021 academic year. MPSA staff will match one mentee per mentor based on the information provided by both parties. Total commitment is approximately 10 total hours.

What is the timeline for matches?

By mid-August, both parties will receive a notification containing name(s), contact information, and brief biographical sketches. Mentees will be asked to contact mentors within one week to establish contact with their assigned mentor and to begin coordination of an initial meeting to establish expectations for program participation (using an MPSA-provided template).

Please note that this program is 100% outside of the annual conference programming and conference participation is not required to participate in the Academic Year Mentoring Program.
